Daily Visit Programs
The Campus Visitors Center has daily programs at 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. From January 14 through May 1, the 10:00 a.m. program is geared specifically for admitted freshman students for Fall 2008. This will cover the next steps that need to be completed prior to enrollment at the University. It will include a media presentation, student panel, and campus tour. Currently the 1:00 program is for prospective students, but starting May 2, the 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 programs will both be for prospective students. This program covers an overview of the University, admission information, student panel and campus tour.
Summer Visits
Between July 14 and August 8, we will have a special summer visit at 10:00 a.m. Options include visiting any of our four cultural houses, taking a tour of our Campus Recreation Center East (CRCE), or visiting our ROTC programs. You can also schedule appointments with specific college/department unit(s) (make sure to call for this option).
Additional College-Specific Sessions
The College of Business and Division of General Studies have daily information sessions available for prospective students and their families at 3:30. Reservations are required for these meetings and you may indicate your interest on the registrant notes in the online reservation form or call our office to complete your reservation.
The College of Engineering offers a tour of the Engineering campus at 2:00 Monday – Friday. At the conclusion of the tour you will meet with an Assistant Dean or Academic Advisor for a question and answer session. No reservations are required for this tour or session.
If you would like to schedule an appointment with a specific college/department unit(s), other than Business, Engineering, and General Studies during your visit, please contact the Visitors Center via phone (217.333.0824) to make your reservation or indicate the name of the department you would like to meet with on the registrant notes in the online reservation form.
