What do you like most about your major?

It is very different in regards that it is a fusion of any departments and you get a little of bit of different worlds.

What are your favorite courses within your major?

Food Science and Human Nutrition 316: Food Chemistry Lab. It was very hands on and we dealt with foods that we encounter in a daily basis, it was very practical

Describe your most memorable experience at Illinois.

My most memorable experience occurred on April 10, 2006, The National Day of Action. On this day a multitude of student organizations came together to organize a march and rally for comprehensive immigration reform. This rally and march were to be in solidarity with those happening around the country. We gathered close to a thousand students, faculty, and community members for a common cause. The rally and march assured me that the Latino population would not stand idly by and let unfair laws be placed on their people. I felt a surge of pride and energy as I joined the crowd in chant. "Se ve, Se siente, la raza esta presents"

Illinois has the most conducive environment for innovation and discovery. It is a place where you can put theory to the test, test the boundaries, rally for a worthy cause, and achieve anything imaginable.
