What do you like most about your major?
I enjoy working through cases with bright classmates. It's fun to dig into scenarios to determine an optimal course of action for an organization.
What are your favorite courses within your major?
I really enjoyed Finance 232: Personal Wealth Management and Finance 423: Finance of Emerging Businesses because they provided extremely practical tips that I use everyday in managing my finances from choosing a mutual fund to running my small business. The Technology and Management courses were also wonderful because I got to see the same great group of students every semester. It felt like I had a comfortable community of peers--like grade school all over again.

Describe your most memorable experience at Illinois.
There are many, from the excitement of the men’s basketball team advancing to the NCAA tournament to coordinating massive conferences to late night pranks and shenanigans with friends. Of all of my experiences, I probably have to choose my first book signing at the Illinois Leadership Center. Everything came together just in time. Friends, teachers, and acquaintances from every corner of my collegiate experience lent me their support by walking in the bitter cold to one of my favorite places. These varied networks met each other for the first time as we all laughed, took pictures, reminisced, and signed on a very special night.
Why do you belong at Illinois?
The University of Illinois' size provides an infinite array of opportunities. Since I've always had an entrepreneurial drive, choosing my next adventure has been the the best part of being a student here. The more than 1,000 registered student organizations and ubiquity of extraordinary individuals means there is always a wonderful way to get involved.
