Hello Future Illini,
When I go to IMPE (intramural and physical education building) or CRCE (campus recreation center east) I go for a variety of reasons, only one of which is to workout. IMPE and CRCE are places where students can go to have fun, workout, play sports, meet others, or just burn off some stress.
IMPE and CRCE now have some of the best workout equipment money can get. CRCE, recently redone, has a very welcoming entrance leading to the new pools, treadmills, ellipticals, bikes, and weights. IMPE has also obtained new equipment. Both facilities have new basketball courts too. IMPE is currently working on making more improvements to make it even more enjoyable for visiting and working out. Whatever you are looking for in sports, entertainment, or just staying fit and relaxing, as an Illinois student you will find it at IMPE or CRCE.
